I love The Loft. It is my favorite movie theater in town, hands down. The audiences are the most polite and well behaved, the staff is helpful and kind, the space is gorgeous, the prices are super reasonable, and if a movie is at The Loft, you know it's probably good. They don't play a lot of the big blockbusters (I don't think I've ever seen them play a Marvel film) but they do show movies of all genres and levels of seriousness - it's just a curated selection of stuff that is good (or just entertaining with artistic merit). The renovation has been a huge transformation and the new outdoor theater and roof top patio are really cool. The expanded menu + the patio makes it a really cool place to hang out, so you can get there early to have drinks and food before the movie. It is really such a great space to have in our community. Plus, on top of all that, by going here you are supporting a local nonprofit that is dedicated to making good art available to the general public and it's a unionized workplace! The Loft is truly a highlight of Tucson and it is always my first choice for a theater.

I’ve always loved the Loft Cinema, but the way they’ve recently redecorated, adding tributes to different directors and beautiful classic movie posters, is just amazing. The sound and new theaters are incredible! We’ve just been blown away every single time. Great job to the Loft for keeping movies fun and alive for all of us who love going to the theater, for amazing sound, and a beautiful picture. We love you Loft Cinema. Thank you for tributes to David Lynch, Kubrick, and many more!

It's a good movie theater that stands out from the others. Attended a few Mondo Mondays which have been fun however the last one wasn't enjoyable. A person in the crowd kept screaming commentary and swearing every 5 seconds. They stood out from the usual Mondo Monday crowd where the banter and laughs still kept the experience positive. Their outdoor screening is enjoyable but you can see the imperfections in the screen depending on the movies lighting.

I was looking forward to watching the Blue Heron last night at The Loft in the outdoor theatre. It brought back memories of Cinema La Placita under the stars downtown. Soon after the movie started, the road noise from Speedway and people coming and talking from the adjacent theatre #4 became an intermittent distraction. The acoustics of the outdoor venue are better suited for an action film or musical instead of a quiet movie like the Blue Heron.

A little frustrated once again the front staff doesnt know how to answer questions and seems annoyed to being asked with offering the word "unfortunately " several times whe they dont know the answer rather than providing exemplary customer service. Sometimes this place feels like a special club that you dont belong to and it can feel very uncomfortable when they have incredible film selections and the update on the establishment is very nice, still, the lack of customer service to help people feel welcome is lacking and off putting. So much so, it makes me re think if I'll renew my membership and even continue to patronize this venue. TUCON PEOPLE - please stop thinking youre better than everyone else, especially if you dont know how to answer a simple question if youre in customer service.
