A hidden gem in downtown San Jose. With an old world vibe and ghosts of memories in times past, you can find quality culture and local talent. I went with my father and husband recwntly to see Beethoven, but there was also a cartoon accompanied by orchestra. So eclectic and unexpected. Find a reason to go to an event here. You will be supporting the arts and local musicians and you won't be disappointed.

Pretty cool theater on the edge of downtown San Jose. Beautiful and well kept. The perfect size for comedy, music, or dance shows. Decently spacious aisles and foot room. Comfortable seats. Easy to walk to from wherever you park downtown. I only wish the bar/ snack area was stocked with a few more items.

First time here, glad I came to see Korean-American comedian Henry Cho. The theater is beautiful and well kept. The seating is great, ample leg space. The ushers were helpful and polite. I will come again in the future.Pretty cool gem in San Jose.

I had a great experience at the California Theatre. The architecture of the theatre is beautiful and the interior is also very attractive. The sound system and seating arrangements were comfortable. The whole atmosphere was very enjoyable while watching the show. It is a really nice place to spend some quality time with friends or family. I would definitely come back.

Listening to a symphony in a beautiful, classic theater enhances the whole experience. There were fresh chocolate chip cookies and a short organ concert before the scheduled concert. Gorgeous venue with good acoustics.
