the customer service could have been better and the food prices are outrageous but that is typical for movie theaters and bowling alleys. The establishment is new, clean, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our time and plan to bowl and watch movies in the near future.

2 out of 5 stars Showbiz Cinemas Edmond has become seriously disappointing. This used to be the theater in Edmond — comfortable, clean, and somewhere you actually looked forward to going. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. The seats are badly worn out and uncomfortable. Many of them feel collapsed and overdue for replacement. The theaters themselves were dirty overall, and the cup holders looked like they haven’t been properly cleaned in ages. The bathrooms were the worst part of the experience. The smell of sewage was overwhelming, and the cleanliness was honestly unacceptable for a public entertainment venue. I’m genuinely surprised the Edmond or Oklahoma health department hasn’t stepped in to address the condition of the restrooms. It’s frustrating because this place used to set the standard locally. Now it feels neglected and run down. Edmond deserves better.

I actually really like this theater. But they need to renovate their movie theaters. Some of the seats are really worn down and floors are sticky. The staff is nice, food is a fair price and so is the drink. I really enjoy having trays attached to my seat and it’s very convenient. The also have a bowling alley and so much more! My friend and I enjoyed the arcade they have!

We went for the Mandalorian and Grogu in SDX. The screen is IMAX huge/tall, with decent clarity (4k/8k) but the black level was mediocre at best - making dark scenes gray. Sound was pretty good, I noticed how wide the soundstage was. The theater seems to be ran by 3 people - refreshment cashiers and the ticket taker. Otherwise there is no one around anywhere. It was the 10pm Saturday showing - which should have been packed. The food is premade and stuck in warming cabinets for self serve. There’s absolutely no one behind the counter to order from, it’s almost like a hospital food court with far less food and even less lighting. The theaters are fully digital with no loading of projectors so I imagine literally no one is manning them. It felt like COVID quarantine with no one around. There were maybe 10 people in the massive theater with us. The arcade has maybe 20 games and half of them don’t work. So many were broken we couldn’t even spend all our points on our card - what a waste. The arcade snack bar wasn’t even open. The movie was decent but the overall experience compared to 1990s movies was depressing.

Terrible experience tonight at Showbiz. This place used to be so clean and well run, but now it is absolutely filthy with rundown disgusting seats, bugs flying all thoughout the theatre and half of the bathrooms stalls were out of order. All of the power went out tonight and after waiting 20 mins in the dark for someone to update us, we finally had to go ask some teens working at the front. They couldn’t give us an answer as to what was going on. Once the movie started back up, they started it way past where it had stopped at and then rewound it to 20 mins before the lights went out and there was NO SOUND! Once again, we had to retreat to the hallway to find out what was going on. Nobody could give anyone a good answer on if and when the problems would be fixed. When I asked for a refund, I was told by the six teenagers standing around “working” that only a manger could do that and he was busy or I could chase him down when I saw him. Then once the manger walked by and I asked him for a refund, he stated that he wasn’t giving anyone a refund, handed me “rain check” tickets and walked off. I don’t want rain check tickets for this disgusting theatre, I want my money refunded. We are so disappointed. This used to be such a gem for Edmond residents but it’s not a theatre I would be proud to take anyone to. We will not be back until there’s new management and it is CLEAN! Something has to change.
