My absolute favorite cinema. Such a wonderful atmosphere, you can really feel the spirit of the old historic building. The staff are always lovely, and I love that they offer both food and drinks. There's always a great selection of films and perfect showtimes.

Overall enjoyable experience—love the atmosphere, the popcorn, and the starry ceiling. However, we were disappointed to discover that the closed captions advertised on the website were not actually available. This is usually something we can only get at larger chain theaters, so we were thrilled to see that it was an option for my hard-of-hearing mother that would allow us to support a neighborhood theater. We were told upon scanning our tickets that they did not have closed captioning devices and that “the movie should be loud enough anyway”. We’re used to this lack of accessibility at smaller theaters, but it is really disappointing to see accessibility being advertised when the devices are not actually available.

I love the Avalon, I saw my first movie there as a kid in the 80’s, and went there as a teen in the 90’s. Which is why I wanted to throw my birthday party there. I filled the even form out on 3/15, and when I hadn’t heard back I emailed the manager on 3/21. He directed me to fill out the event form. So I did. Again. And again, no one reached out. So I emailed back on 3/29 asking if the manager could look into, or help themself, and nothing. No email back, still nothing from filling out the form. So, I’m going in a different direction, someone else can have my business. I emailed the manager one last time just to let them know, and ask if there is potentially something wrong with the event portal, and still nothing. Really sucks. I thought it would be the perfect place to celebrate.

Pretty cool place. The room has stars all across the ceiling which blinks slowly as well as star fall. It is amazing! Honest review btw.

Always a terrific moviegoing experience! Not only do they have the usual theater fare, but a variety of canned drinks, appetizers, and a full bar inside! Staff is helpful, atmosphere is amazing, and you have plenty of space to stretch out. I constantly recommend The Avalon, when anyone I know is going out to see a movie, 10/10.
