THE BEST REVIEWS 3 months agoA LOVELY girl called Deljean very patiently helped me out today. I couldn’t access listings online so I called and made enquiries about what is showing on the IMAX screen. She was interrupted by customers repeatedly but she was entirely sweet and pleasant despite that. There is nothing like a kind patient employee to encourage customers to attend a movie theater or, really, to buy anything from any retailer. And when you call up and you know somebody is very busy and they treat you nicely it really counts a lot towards giving any company a good name. Company culture is always reflected in the attitude of an employee and particularly so over the phone. I hope her supervisor reads this and tells Deljean how much her manner is appreciated - and that it motivated me entirely to write a positive review immediately. When someone like Deljean communicates the way she did it also means (I am a journalist and a very strong consumer advocate) that I will always tells others. If I have had a good experience I tell friends or anybody I meet, exactly where, when and how it happened. I talk constantly about which companies are good to customers and which ones to entirely avoid. In this case I will thoroughly recommend AMC Foothills. Kindness and good manners count hugely in this world.
My Name a month agoFirst time at this theater. The seats were fine, the screen was fine, but the lobby is blah and the "kettle corn" is terrible. It was more like Caramel corn .... Except it tasted like a butterscotch disc... Like when it's mostly gone and you get down to the part where you just chew it. And unfortunately I got a large, which I normally eat it all throughout the movie (I'm a piggy for kettle corn). But I hardly had any and tossed the rest. And the lines at the snack bar aren't so much lines as they are a bunch of people all standing at the counters not sure who was there first. If I go back, I'll definitely not getting kettle corn. 👎
Kathryn Salm 5 months agoThe IMAX with a 3D was very good, and seats somewhat comfortable, though did not recline enough for me. I took one star off because the audio volume during the 1/2 hour of previews and advertisements was way too loud! It consistently hit 90 decibels. I had to put earplugs in
Michael Palomares a month agoPretty good viewing experience, had some subwoofer bleed from adjacent theaters, which was a bit distracting. But overall, I enjoyed the recliners and the viewing experience
Dylan McKee 8 months agoI saw Tron in Imax with lasers on Tuesday at Mesa Grand 14. It was one of the best movies experiences I have had. Visually and audibly amazing. The seats were even heated! The staff were friendly and the kiosks were handy. Everything was clean and working. I drove an hour and a half to Tucson to meet some friends and show them the movie yesterday night at their ONLY AMC (Foothills 15). There were no kiosks. The staff were overwhelmed. I asked for a cardboard box to split my popcorn and they said they could give me a plastic bag or a hotdog tray. One icee machine said it was ready but was fully liquid. The second machine half worked. The whole theatre was disgusting. Attached are the seats in the IMAX theatre room compared to the nice Mesa ones. Fricken disgusting. Those seats have never been cleaned. Everything smelled. The seat numbers are hidden on the armrests that are lifted in the up position making it impossible to find your seat in the dark. The vents rattled loudly with the bass. And the quality of the audio and video was extremely poor in comparison to the version I saw earlier in the week. I am EXTREMELY turned off by the experience and it explains why my friends choose the other theatres in town over this location. I took them here due to the movie being filmed for IMAX, but never again will we go to this location until something is done. That was AWFUL, DISGUSTING, and the worst experience I had in a theatre in the last 10 years. Did I mention the ticket prices are the same?
