Kirby Ingram a month ago0/10 do not recommend. The idea of this sounds nice but it is not. They charge $200+ but the customer service is poor and unprofessional. At my show they couldn’t figure out the tech and made us wait over an hour and half before canceling due to technical difficulties. During the wait they only served some groups drinks for the bar and ignored others. After the cancellation, they told some people they could go to the hotel bar for “discounted food and beverages” but then decided to serve people items from the original only after half the attendees left. It was a terrible experience and they waited days before sending an apology email. The more days to respond to refunds or rescheduling. Once requesting a refund, they offered to send via Cashapp, Zelle or Venmo. What nice reputable business does that when we paid through a legitimate site. Also it’s been over 2 weeks and refunds still haven’t been sent. Don’t try this experience dine-in movie theaters with dirty floors are 2000xs better experience.
Nash Merritt 2 months agoFirst, they sent me an email for "early access" and that tickets were 50% percent off so I went online and tried to buy 2 tickets but my code didn't work. I sent an email to Fork n Film and they never replied back. After a few days, I went to the site and saw that 2 days were already sold out, so I just went ahead and bought the tickets, and I still sent several follow up emails about the 50% off code. The day after I bought my tickets, I got another code for tickets being 50% off again and I continued sending emails asking if they code honor the coupon but no reply. When you buy the tickets, they tell you they'll email the location 1 week before the event. I was traveling from SD to SF for this event so I had to book a flight and hotel. The event was on Friday and the Monday before I still had not received the location so I sent an email and did not hear back. I booked my room and flight on Tuesday and after several emails and DMs they finally responded on THURSDAY EVENING that the event had been canceled. They sent this long email about rebooking another event and they'll give you a free drink, then in very small fine print there's an option for a refund but you have to send an email for a request. I sent the email and they responded 3 days later that they will "quickly" refund me. It's been 3 weeks, and I still have no refund. I sent an email and a few days later they just sent an email saying "let me check the status".... never ever ever ever again don't waste your time
Vee Dinh 8 months agoSuch a great dining experience to watch movie and dine in with the matching dishes. I watched Ratatouille cartoon from Disney and the dishes I ate came out at the same time matching the dishes in the movie. Really lovely experience I would recommend this! The dishes: 1. Salade compose - mixed market greens with sliced apple 2. “Gusto was right” - strawberry compote on a bed of cheese 3. Champignon farcis - roasted oyster mushroom 4. Potage Paris - potato and leek soup 5. Plat du chef - glazed roasted chicken 6. Ahh it’s a rat - vodka and apple pucker 7. Confit byaldi - slow-cooked vegetable 8. Vanilla creme brulee
Foodie Phamily 9 months agoThis review is for ForknFilm San Francisco. Our family of 6 had done Ratatouille in LA couple years back and had an amazing time so when we found out they were opening one in San Francisco more local to us, our family of 4 jumped on it to see Coco. This was not even close to same experience we had in LA for ratatouille. 1. The venue was not decked out at all. It was in a hotel small conference room with no decor or vibe of the movie Coco at all, plain 4 white walls with a projector screen. The table had one party garment on it, that’s it. 2. Checkin did not have same exciting vibe as LA, in LA there was live music to greet us, here in SF nothing. You would think with the movie Coco , this would be a good opportunity for a Mariachi or something. They had a wall backdrop with the words “ForknFilm” and the checkin host who took an instant picture for us was a tiny cheap photo that turned out blurry and cut off my husband! They could have at least had a regular size insta camera for the price we are paying. 3. No popcorn or fun interactive places for photos with Coco theme while we were waiting like we had in LA. Just sat at the white clothed table with no Coco theme waiting. 4. Drinks were lazy, same drinks over over again in the same cups, no switching of margarita cup or stem cups, just same round flat cups for every drink that came out. My kids were most disappointed to have no fun drinks with dry ice or theme as that was one of their favorite parts in LA. 5. The worst part I would say was the food. The food did not match with anything in the movie in which is suppose to make you feel like “you are eating food from the screen”, it was just bad Mexican food brought out at random times, not sure if they just used the hotel cook but there was no thought on the food at all. Taco was bad, enchilada was all cheese no meat and a roll. All it was was cheese and carbs with little protein. Chicken mole was dry and bland. Some street corn that was the most decent but still not even as good as a food truck. Dessert chiro with the hot coco at the end was super sweet. We were so disappointed in the food, especially at $200 per ticket! Even my kids were disappointed and they’re not picky eaters, usually enjoy everything. Overall, if this Coco in San Fran experience was what we had experienced as our first ForknFilm, we would never go back. Kinda sad as we were very happy to support black owned business and the couple looks very sweet but maybe they expanded too quickly to other cities without being able to see what type of quality they’re providing. We spent $800 for our family of 4 and all 4 of us came out very underwhelmed. Hope the owners can travel to San Fran and review their experience to make sure the quality is same as their original location. Sad we would have done more movies in SF but not after this experience.
Jenny Garcia 10 months agoWas able to experience Mulan with Fork n’ Film LA and it was such a cool and unique night out! The venue itself is beautiful and the concept is really creative: each course and drink is timed to specific moments in the movie, which makes the whole evening feel immersive and fun. We sat in the VIP area, which had a cozy couch for two and added to the intimate feel. The staff were all lovely and welcoming, which really elevated the experience. The food was impressive with presentation: innovative, well-prepared, and definitely not what you expect when you think “dinner and a movie.” Some Courses did come out cold and the drinks were super sweet. The screen is on the smaller side and the sound is just okay, so if you’re looking for a classic AMC-style theater experience, this isn’t it. You’re really here for the overall event: the food, the creativity, and the vibe. It’s definitely on the pricey side, so not something everyone will splurge on, but if you can, it’s an experience I’d definitely recommend at least once!
