This is the second time my partner and I have come to the theatre. I am SO thankful that Sacramento still has this for the community to enjoy and experience. We watched the new Star Wars movie. Arrive early to secure a good spot, especially during the weekend, or for popular movie releases. The theatre atmosphere feels safe and children friendly. There are security personnel that drive around to help keep things safe. If your battery dies, they do have jump starter cables. I haven’t had that issue when I've kept my engine idling. I haven’t eaten their food, but by the concession stand lines, I imagine it's pretty good. Great experience that brings a lot of nostalgia out of me 😊 Thanks for time, energy, and resources it takes to keep this available and affordable for the Sacramento community 🙏

I love coming to West Wind. They always get us in quickly. We have a great time hanging out in our car. I love that we can comment and laugh and move around in a way that we can't at traditional theaters. The element of nostalgia makes us all happy and I am glad that I get to carry on a tradition with my kids that I got to experience growing up. Bonus...wearing our pajamas and cozying up with our blankets.

I’ll start this review saying I am biased towards this place because I’ve been coming since I was little and the nostalgia is strong. I love that there is a drive-in movie theatre so close by considered the next nearest one is 50 miles away in Concord. This place is an iconic landmark in my opinion and I cherish being able to experience this in a world where movies are becoming more technologically sophisticated and expensive. I’m not sure when but they paved the parking ground so it’s not long just straight gravel and dirt like before which is really nice!! The reviews mention difficulty with seeing the movie, rowdy people around, and the concession stand being a mess. I was able to see and hear the movie just fine during my recent visit and there wasn’t rowdy people near us so I think that’s just a situational experience. Keep in mind noisy people are also at the closed off theaters too and you can close yourself off in your car if you want. The concession stand was very packed and they were behind on orders. My friend had to wait a really long time for her food, I’d recommend bringing your own snacks/food and then ordering ahead of time if you are getting stuff here. I also really really advise on getting here 30-40 minutes before your movie so you can get through the line and find your ideal parking spot. The lines get full and back up quick. My recent visit was for a friend birthday and they put a birthday message on the big sign and were supposed to play a message on the radio but I don’t think that ever happened. I really hope in the future the owner can put more money and time into streamlining the concession stand so people can have a better experience. Check this place out at least once you never know if you’ll be able to in the future!

We had a great time — my kids loved it! My mom grew up coming here, so it was a really nostalgic experience for her. A fun and memorable night for all of us.

Had an awesome time at West Wind Sacramento 6 Drive-In. One of the best old-school date night and family movie spots in Sacramento. Watching movies under the stars from your own car gives such a nostalgic vibe, and the sound quality through the FM radio is surprisingly good. The renovated snack bar and updated screens made the whole experience even better. Affordable tickets, double-feature style entertainment, and a relaxed atmosphere make this place a Sacramento classic. Definitely recommend getting there early for a good parking spot and bringing blankets/snacks for the full experience.
