We loved seeing Wicked at Cinepolis Del Mar! Dinner service is always amazing when you get to sit comfortably while they bring you whatever you want. You push a button and they will bring you more popcorn, food, drinks or snacks! Such a wonderful movie experience!

Great! Quick to buy tickets. The wait staff was top notch and the best part. Food was great and quality was reflective of the price. Screen looks great. The downside is it was loud, to be fair I didn't ask to turn it down but I had a headache the rest of the day. It smells a little bit, like any old theater. It is a little run down. People in the theater were rude, but not the theaters fault. One older lady was scrolling on her phone the whole time with max brightness and volume. Another older man was snoring SO loud through 70% of the movie. Maybe that's why the sound was so loud?

This was my first time at this theater and I like the concept, but this location clearly needs an upgrade. I decided to go because I had heard good things about the brand previously. I appreciated that the seats could be chosen ahead of time and the process to purchase them was quite easy. First time reward members get a free donut with ice cream which was delicious but I was surprised when it came out before the regular popcorn I ordered. The seats were comfy but the tables on the seats couldn’t really be moved out of the way which was a bit annoying. The seats were comfy and nice until I noticed just how worn and grimy they were. There was grime around the entire cup holder. It was nice to be able to order alcoholic drinks to the seat as well. I was able to sit through the movie because I really wanted to see the movie, but I will not be coming back to this location unless it’s for a really great movie deal. The staff were nice and attentive so the 1 star is not for their service - it’s for the state of the theater. ** Allergy warning: coconut. All of the popcorn is made with coconut oil and it’s not possible to get it without. If management reads these reviews, I'd genuinely be interested to hear how Cinepolis plans to improve this location.

Really disappointing experience with the in-seat service at the Del Mar Cinepolis. I ordered a medium popcorn from my seat and waited about 25 minutes. After a while I started to think maybe I did something wrong with the order, so I actually walked out to the counter twice to check. Both times the staff confirmed they had my ticket and it would be brought out. I went back to my seat and kept waiting… and still nothing for a long time. Popcorn is about the simplest item a theater sells. It’s already popped and sitting in a warmer, so waiting that long especially after checking twice really shouldn’t happen. At that point it feels less like a busy night and more like the order system just isn’t being managed well. The theater itself is great and the idea of in-seat service is why people pay the premium to come here. A couple recommendations • Treat popcorn, candy, and drinks as fast-lane items that should go out within a few minutes. • Have someone actively track pending orders so tickets don’t sit unnoticed. • When a guest comes out twice asking about the same order, someone should take ownership and make sure it’s delivered right away. This was my first time here and I like the theater and want it to succeed, but waiting 25+ minutes for popcorn after two follow-ups shouldn’t happen at a place that markets itself as a luxury cinema. If management reads these reviews, I’d genuinely be interested to hear how Cinepolis plans to improve the in seat delivery system so something this simple doesn’t take 25+ minutes. I genuinely hope for improvement because this is my local theater and I want to help the community spot.

The worst experience I've ever had at a movie theatre. The price was wildly expensive, and the seat was uncomfortable unless you're a giant. I'm 5'5", so it was not comfortable at all. I was told I couldn't get popcorn at the counter and had to go to my seat instead. Nobody came to take my order. They made me use their app, which did not work for me. I got up and spoke to an attendant, who got the theatre wrong, questioned my seat as if I had made a mistake, and eventually took my order. Then, after waiting 20 to 30 minutes, I still had no popcorn. I was really hungry, so I had to get up, miss part of the movie, and go back to the counter. They asked for my seat and theatre, then seemed to have lost the order entirely. When I asked for a refund, they rudely barked at me that I needed to go to another counter. I finally got the refund, but this was easily the worst experience I've ever had in a movie theatre. They wanted around $50 for a movie ticket and popcorn, and the whole thing felt like a complete ripoff.
