Madison Prescott 3 weeks agoMy friends and I are frequent guests at this theater and have always had positive experiences here. We are Platinum Members and regularly choose this location because of the great service we've received in the past. Unfortunately, our visit on Saturday evening was very different. We had purchased tickets and concessions and were attempting to see an R-rated movie. When we were informed that we could not enter without proper identification and a parent present, we accepted the decision and began contacting our parents to figure out our next steps. While we were doing so, an employee named Nick repeatedly approached our group and interrupted our conversations. We felt that he was closely monitoring us and making assumptions about our intentions rather than allowing us time to resolve the situation. At one point, we asked another guest whether the movie had already started because we were unsure how long we had been standing there. Nick immediately assumed we were trying to ask that guest to act as our chaperone, which was not the case. What was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled. We remained respectful throughout the interaction, yet we felt that Nick spoke to us in a confrontational manner and created a scene that drew unnecessary attention from other guests. We were embarrassed and uncomfortable, despite trying to cooperate and follow instructions. When our tickets were eventually refunded, the interaction remained unprofessional. Nick scanned our tickets and processed the refund without explaining what he was doing or communicating with us. He did not provide any customer service or acknowledgment of the situation, and his demeanor came across as unnecessarily aggressive. During the refund process, he handed a printed ticket to my friend Veronica in a manner that resulted in her hand being scratched. While we understand that this may not have been intentional, it added to an already uncomfortable experience. We understand and respect the theater's policies regarding R-rated films. Our concern is not with the policy itself, but with the manner in which we were treated while trying to figure out what to do next. As loyal customers who genuinely enjoy visiting this location, we hope management will review this interaction and ensure that future situations are handled with more professionalism, patience, and courtesy. Thank you for your time and consideration.
James Alexander Fontanilla 5 months agoProbably one of the best movie theaters in Silicon Valley. Tons of current movies, classic re-releases, multicultural films, and special screenings. Their concessions are top notch as well. Not just the standard popcorn, nachos, and soda, but also hot dogs, chicken strips, Pizza Hut pizza, Starbucks coffee, and even alcoholic beverages like boozie slushies, draft beer, wine, and canned cocktails. Their team members have always been friendly and helpful as well (Yolanda, Marco, and Khan to name a few). Tuesdays are great because of discounted movie tickets that make it easy to spend an afternoon watching a couple of new releases. You can save even more by becoming a Cinemark Movie Club member as well! Updated 09/02/25: They've expanded their concessions with chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, and pretzel bites. They now also offer frozen Jack & Coke and frozen Cuervo Margaritas, which are like boozy Icees. Another important thing I'd like to mention is the general kindness of the young staff during weekday mornings. Nowadays, so many younger (under 30) workers seem to be completely disinterested in the customer service aspect of their jobs. This location at Westfield Oakridge seems to be the exception, with their "Have a good day"s, "Enjoy your show"s, and "You're welcome"s. It's very refreshing and very much appreciated. Updated 01/20/26: Still a fantastic movie-going experience. It would be nice if movies ran for more than 2 weeks, especially when they sometimes are only showing for a week to 10 days.
Matt Falcon a month agoNEVER AGAIN. Leaving myself a reminder to never ever be tricked into booking a movie here. It's inside a mall. An overrun chaos of a mall, absolutely impossible to park at, so you have to walk a mile to get to the theater after cursing bloody murder at the worst decay of humanity behind the wheel of their cars in the parking lot. Then, despite placing an app order for snacks with the movie, they screw that up - oh, and I already tipped in advance. Cheese sauce for those nachos? Walk out, to the snack counter. "Oh it's in the bag I promise". Walk back. It's not. I pack up the whole bag and bring it. Oh. Okay. Sorry here's a sauce. And I grab a selection of missing condiments for the hot dog. (What's the point of seat delivery if they don't provide condiments?) Movie was great. ScreenX is impressive. And then it was over. And I can't walk back to the far-off parking lot from the theater because the "mall is closed". So I slog all the way around outside while writing this. A good movie experience, sandwiched between the worst possible experience on both ends. Never again.
Christian Truong a month agoabsolutely terrible experience. group of rowdy teenagers to right thought it would be hilarious to moan and make fart noises loudly as well as spam the recliner to make even more noise. Tried to tell them to be quiet but to no avail. Ended up leaving the movie only 30 minutes in. Will never be back
Gale Swanson 2 months ago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing cinema experience! The picture quality is crystal clear, and the sound system is incredibly immersive. The seats are very comfortable, and everything is always clean. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Definitely my favorite place to watch movies!
