Went to see Mortal Kombat 2! The bartender was great but our theater didn't have working air conditioning. So unfortunately, it did get pretty warm in there and a bit uncomfortable for the duration of the film. But the theater was clean and the popcorn was nice, fresh and hot.

I went to the 11am matinee screening last Saturday at Theater 8 at AMC Georgetown 14, and somehow two tickets alone were $56. For an 11AM MATINEE. Let that sink in. Then came the sound. I genuinely do not understand what is happening with modern theaters anymore. The volume was so catastrophically loud that I spent portions of the film with my fingers literally shoved into my ears. The seats were vibrating like I had accidentally purchased tickets to a SpaceX launch instead of a movie. This was not immersive. It was hostile. Not every film requires “earthquake simulator” audio engineering. At several points, the sound mix was so aggressively overpowering that it pulled me completely out of the experience. Loudness is not the same thing as quality. To add insult to injury, concessions were absurdly priced. A small popcorn and small soda cost nearly $24. For that kind of money, I expect flawless projection, balanced sound, comfortable immersion, and a film experience that feels special. Instead, I got hearing damage and financial regret. I will never again pay for premium-format seating or Dolby sound here. Standard theater only from now on, if at all. Movie theaters are pricing themselves like luxury experiences while delivering sensory assault.

Great AMC location, friendly employees, bar was great too. Comfy and clean seats in the theater, clean bathrooms. Easy to get too as well

Seats are comfy. Popcorn is always adequately salted and the option to add as much "buttery topping" as your heart desires is great. Coca cola freestyle machines are one of the main reasona I go to this theater so as long as they aren't out of cherry coke zero I am a happy camper.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town. Worst theater I have ever been to. It was incredibly hot. The seats did not recline at all so it felt like sitting in airplane economy at a 90 degree angle the whole time. And then at the end, the lights turned on for the last 10 minutes of the movie. Then the whole parking situation was a nightmare. They advertised discounted pricing for movie goers but did not communicate that there was some sort of stamp from the theater to redeem this pricing… so the line to leave the parking garage was terrible and everyone was constantly being directed to back out and away from the exit gate. Total nightmare. Would never go back.
