Having read the other reviews, I was hesitant to go to this theater. My experience, however, was good! This theater is very lovely, has a beautiful entryway with art and awesome lighting. It was clearly built for large premieres and events. I do agree with previous reviewers that this theater needs some TLC. The screens are a bit wonky, the seats are old and a bit stained, but not uncomfortable. Not the peak of the theatrical experience, but acceptable. The staff is very kind and accommodating. I hope somebody with a little extra in their checkbook can help revive this lovely theater before it goes under.

The staff was friendly when I walked in but my the place is in a little bit of TLC. The place has a lingering smell of piss, no reclining seats (at least in my auditorium) and a dodgy screen. The film I was watching “Wicked” didn’t feel like it was 4k 1080p or even HD for that matter and I could see the purple and blue undertones of the screen. Felt like I had to strain to see anything in focus. Trash. Bigger auditorium overall but can clearly see they sacrificed quality. I only used this one because it was the only local one showing “Wicked” for miles but I won’t be back. I even cancelled my ticket for the other film I planned to watch immediately after Wicked because this is just bleh. I even had to come back at the end of this movie to rate this a 1 instead of a 2. Halfway through the movie the screen froze, not once, twice but THRICE (see media below). Crikey

Our go to movie theater. I am glad they didn't demolish this to make way for the Huge Hospital Complex. Order screens and scan movie barcode screens should be in the works to speed up the lines. A security patrol outside the movie theater will be a welcome addition against car vandalism and theft...rare but it has happened. Love Love AMC...and plan to keep supporting this movie theater. I will also encourage the management to tap into the school systems in the area and offer documentaries for free or group cheap discount tickets for students.

Took my son to watch the Paws of Fury, last weekend. It was a nice experience. I was nervous because of the negative reviews I'd read, but our experience was very positive. The staff were courteous, the snacks were okay. It wasn't crowded at the time we went. Clean environment from the lobby to the auditorium. The sound was great too. Though, advertisements took about 45 minutes before the movie started (longest I've ever experienced). And if you purchase the tickets online, you get about 20-30% discount depending on the movie and time.

This theater has a lot of good and a bit of bad. The staff is generally helpful and the vast majority of times things run well. As an A-List member who goes to a lot of AMC Theaters this is the only IMAX in the M part of DMV. Otherwise, Magic is neglected by AMC. Several screens are badly in need of cleaning. Also, all the non-IMAX theaters need to be changed to lounge seating. Very rarely are these theaters close to capacity. Finally, a highkey general clearing of the theaters and its exterior entrance.
