IMAX at the Indiana State Museum — Next Level Experience I came in expecting a normal IMAX… and left genuinely blown away. The screen is massive, the sound hits perfectly without being overwhelming, and the whole setup makes you feel like you’re in the film, not just watching it. Being from Colorado, I’ve been to plenty of theaters, but this one stands out—crystal-clear visuals, insane immersion, and super comfortable seating. It’s the kind of experience that reminds you why IMAX is still unbeatable. If you’re visiting Indy, do yourself a favor and catch a film here. It’s worth every minute.

Had an incredible experience at the IMAX theater at the Indianapolis Museum! Watched Project Hail Mary and it was an absolute visual spectacle — the scale, clarity, and immersive sound made it feel like you were right there in space. Truly the kind of movie that deserves to be seen on a giant IMAX screen. The overall setup was clean, comfortable, and well-organized, which made the experience even better. Side note: parking is super convenient — it’s free in the basement. Just keep your ticket and validate it on your way out. Definitely a 5-star experience. Highly recommend!

I have driven from Cincinnati twice to come here first for Oppenheimer then for Project Hail Mary. My only complaint for Oppenheimer was the seats were uncomfortable. They have updated the seats since and now for Project Hail Mary they are very comfortable. This is the closest 70mm theater to me and I'd say if you enjoy movies it is well worth it

Seeing a movie on such a massive screen at IMAX Theatre in the Indiana State Museum was an absolutely incredible experience. The picture quality was so crisp and bright, and the sound really rumbled through the whole room in a way that made me feel like I was right inside the action. It was super cool to be in a building that has so much other interesting stuff to see, and the lobby area was clean and inviting. I honestly think it is the best way to catch a new blockbuster because it feels like such a huge event compared to a regular theater.

The biggest and coolest screen in Indiana by far, and the 3D experience was incredibly immersive. The best place to sit is right in the middle of the theater. However, the seats are very uncomfortable, don’t lean back well, and are ripped up pretty bad. On top of that, everything is dirty… they don’t clean between movies - they just sweep everything under the seats. Oh, and the concessions are far worse than other theaters in town with very few options.
