Google Reviews
ent ity 2 months agoI’ve seen some very strange hit-or-miss reviews of this place so I decided to go in and decide for myself. It was NOT “LGBTQ+ friendly” Me and my boyfriend arrived and the ticketer immediately greeted us and said, “hello, how are you, I can get you right over here. Welcome!” He was very professional and reminded us to get our parking validated at concessions (for some reason at concessions and not the ticket booth). So after we took the elevator upstairs, we went to the concessions for food and to get our parking validated. I walked up to the concession person and I could immediately tell they were over it. Their entire body language and attitude was giving very “go away.” So I greeted the concession worker with “hi, how are you, can I get my parking…” …and I got cut off—not greeted—in an extremely abrasive way. They literally said, “Put that away, I don’t need to see it, take this and don’t lose it or it’ll cost you $50, I don’t want to ever see that again.” …as they handed me the ticket to validate my parking. It was the most bizarre interaction and disrespectful way of speaking to someone, much less a customer. To this I replied “….okay…thank you.” And proceeded to order. At first I thought this employee was trying to be playful but they were dead serious in their body language. It was rude and made my boyfriend extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, even if he was trying to be playful, you don’t know me well enough and you’re not skilled enough to try to be playful with a stranger. Furthermore, that’s not appropriate behavior when you should be greeting and welcoming a customer, not being aggressive and awkward. This employee should not be working in customer or food service. Because of this, the vibe was immediately off and it put a damper on the entire visit as a first time customer. I would disclose their name but their badge was hidden. It was a frumpy middle aged black queer person and they should be ashamed of themselves. As a fat middle aged queer person myself, I demand better because I would never treat someone like that, ever. Anyway, after the transaction was done I was asked to leave a tip which I declined. I don’t tip non-tip waged workers. I wasn’t given a receipt so I asked if I could have a receipt and where do I pick up the food. This insufferable concession worker simply said “I scanned your ticket, don’t worry about it.” Excuse you? To which I said, again, “how do we get our food?” The concession person repeated “I just scanned your ticket.” I asked “Do I pick it up or do they deliver it?” They scoffed and said “they’ll deliver it.” The entire interaction with this creature was gross, absolutely ridiculous, and completely unnecessary. If I had spoken to and treated this person like they did me, there would absolutely have been a problem and I would have been framed as the aggressor. On to the next. When we were finding our seats, we realized our seats had been changed when we picked up our tickets. When I purchased the tickets I selected the 4th row 1st and 2nd seats on the aisle, however we were assigned the last two seats on the inside. I doublechecked and I was correct, we had selected the first two aisle seats. The runner bringing out food was very nice and friendly but nobody ever came to ask if we wanted a refill on our drink or took our plates so I had to wait 12 minutes in line as one person did everything while i saw no less than three other employees walking around. They were either not trained to jump on concessions or didn’t care. This was very disappointing but tracks. The theatre itself was cozy and the seats were very accommodating for fat or obese people and sections for wheelchairs. As a disabled person that is something I look for. The sound and picture quality were excellent and the movie started right on time. Ultimately, if that weirdo concessions worker wasn’t part of the equation my review would be better, but it was so inexcusable I can’t rate it any higher. We won’t be back, but who cares, right?
OE Ghost 4 months agoThe place was nice. The service was friendly. I was the only person in the place, even throughout the movie. I had a decent pizza. They do have an elevator to use since this place is on the second level, but no one was on the first floor to mention that when I walked in. Some of the seats were worn but overall nice place.
Tesla Anderson 3 weeks agoWent on a Monday at 5pm. Pros: The price was good, they validated parking and it was cool looking inside. Food minus the fries was really good. Cons: The actual theater room were watched the movie in was NASTY. Trash and dirty dishes all over. And this was before our movie started so we thought someone had just not started to clean it yet...NO. it was never cleaned we sat in a row with 2 other people and ALL the seat between us where covered in paper and food trash. The chairs were also sticky and nasty. With peeling fabric and ripped cushions. All 3 of our chairs were torn up. The bathroom was also nasty. IDK I have literally never been a theater that dirty before 🤷🏽♀️. Also everyone's fries were under cooked and not edible.
Owen Grunden 4 months agoProbably the worst movie theater experience I've ever had. It was my first time coming here, and I won't be back. The only good thing was that the workers were kind. We arrived 30 min early to our movie, which is normally fine at any other theater, and nobody informed us the last one was still playing, so we walked into the room only to find the end of the last movie still playing. We quickly exited and waited 10 more min before heading back in. The previous movie was now over, but nobody was in the theater cleaning it, so we had to stand there awkwardly with our drinks and popcorn. Our movie started at 4:15pm, and the theater wasn't cleaned until about 4:09pm. THREE times while waiting for the theater to be cleaned, an employee came in with our food and left. We still received the same old, now cold food once our seats were finally clean. The top bun of my burger was hard, the fries were the texture of uncooked potato, and my friend's bread that came with their mac and cheese was also hard. The flavor of the food didn't make it any better. The arm rest in-between our seats was wobbly, as if nothing was holding it in place. Another movie-goer had to inform an employee that the lights were still on when the movie began. Thankfully, the rest of the movie went fine, but I cannot see myself going back to the place after the experience I had.
Kloe Demopoulos 2 months agogreat theater. comfy seats, decent food, fun cocktails. i love supporting small businesses and i generally really enjoy the time i spend at living room theater. HOWEVER, i have some qualms that have nothing to do with the clearly exhausted and understaffed employees. get there EARLY. there is no "it starts at X time but there will be 20 minutes of previews." no. there are maybe 2-3 trailers before the movie, and usually i would prefer this but the line for food always takes a million years and i just end up feeling bad for the staff for wanting a sprite and pretzels. the last time we visited (a few nights ago) we walked in to our theater and a gal was still cleaning. we had to wait outside the theater. that's fine! i get it! but again i just felt so bad for her. the previews started playing while she was still cleaning and there was a very real possibility that the movie was going to start before we could sit down. another obvious staffing issue. that same night, we were in the theater with a few groups of teenagers and i felt guilty about being upset, because surely they'd be fine and i'm just a judgy "old" person. but no. they talked through the entire movie and had their phones out the whole time. i know there's nobody in the projection room watching, because every other time i've been to a theater, a staff member would notice someone on their phone and come tell them to stop or leave. i didn't want to go bother the staff because they were obviously swamped, but these kids did not care how much we glared or shh'd. we almost left but we sucked it up because the whole endeavor was $60! i want to love this place and generally i do, but they need some major help with staffing. i've worked in understaffed retail/customer service positions before so i know how soul sucking it can be. i want to support local but i also don't want to give money to an owner who thinks having an overworked skeleton crew on a friday night is okay!
