We visit The Grand theatre in Kenner, LA to see the Michael Jackson movie May 2026. I know in the past before the movie begins that lights are on. It was extremely dark in there upon entering, we could barely see. I sent my grandson to ask about the lighting and was told there were none; however at the end someone came to clean up and the lights were put on. What were they hiding? We had 4 seats and they were comfortable; but 1 didn’t recline, it was broken. I paid for that feature. The seats were old and worn out needs replacing. I enjoyed the surround sound experience for there were a lot of Michael’s music played, I loved that part. I changed from 2 Stars to 3 Stars due to the surround sound being outstanding.

Older theater. Seating is well worn but still functional. The customer service is top notch! Very friendly and accommodating. This location is highly recommended! If you enjoy watching movies in theaters, be sure to join Regal Unlimited! The savings make up for everything!!

Poor customer service! We went to this theater and bought tickets to a 12:40 movie. We picked seats E-5 and E-6. They gave us a ticket to a 7pm showing by mistake and then people came after us and bought the tickets for the 12:40 movie seats E-5 and E-6. We ended up getting a refund because the people who bought the 12:40 E-5 and E-6 seats wanted their seats. Our receipt has a 7pm time. The error was on the movie theater staff. No apology no free popcorn nothing just brushing it over like what’s the problem and we can offer you other seats. We wanted the spacious seats that we picked. Why didn’t you apologize to the other people and let them know that the seats they bought had been already sold, and offer them other seats?? Yall need to do better!!

First and foremost, GROSS! Going here was like going to someone's house who has a lot of animals who lets them sit on the furniture. I had to put my jacket on the back of the seat so my wife could lean back. The seats are falling apart and after a few minutes sitting on them, I noticed a "urine-like aroma" coming from the empty seats to my left... On top of all of that, the surround sound in their "RPX" wasn't working. The only audio was coming from the center channel and the audio synchronization was noticibly off. 10 minutes into the movie I went and notified the staff. A few minutes later, it seemed like someone raised the volume on the center channel speaker. After about 15 more minutes i grabbed my family and went to find a manager to request a refund. If there is one thing I can say that is positive about this place, is that the staff are very friendly. It's too bad they work for such a run down theater. Currently, I am writing this review while sitting in the parking lot at AMC. For comparison, the price at the ran-down-Regal is the same as the well kept AMC. What a lesson learned.

Just left the theatre to watch the new Toy Story film. I purchased the $50 souvenir bucket and on my way out from the movie, noticed the piece that connects the entire thing was broken off. What seems like it would’ve been a simple fix left me completely disappointed in the customer service. I was told that the broken part couldn’t be swapped out due to the merchandise being sold out.. how is the merchandise already sold out and it’s not even the actual release day? If the movie actually releases tomorrow… that means you all didn’t have enough merchandise to sell through the weekend or it was simply a lie. After spending $18 for a movie ticket, and $50 for the bucket.. I can’t even get one that’s not broken??
