This was my second visit to the palace theater. I live in Cleveland so I tend to only drive down when a show will not be making a stop further north. My first show was a live tour the YouTube pair Rhett and Link were doing. Unfortunately I ordered tickets late and had to sit in the second to last row in the upper balcony. The view itself was still fantastic but I have never been more cramped sitting in a seat at a venue. The space between rows is laughably small (it is an older venue) I'm 6ft 1" with a 34" inseam and I had to fold my legs in a way that left me miserable the entire show. This is absolutely not the fault of the venue (I have had similar experiences at other older theaters in my hometown of Cleveland in playhouse square) but sharing for fellow tallish folks awareness. My visit yesterday, I had learned my lesson. I got my ticket early for the Ben Schwartz and friends improv tour (which had sold out) I was able to get a seat in row N which is an aisle row. I had leg room.. for days, good sight line to the stage, and had a wonderful time.

It's so pretty! The staff was very accommodating and kind. I recommend arriving early- I'm sure that's what made everything easier. We sat pretty far away, but the performers knew how to entertain for far-away seats.

Well maintained historical like atmosphere. Loge seating is a fantastic veiw !! Especially section C Decent staff, friendly and safe. Sound quality was very good and the stage is big enough to have an elaborate lighting rig.

The performance I saw was amazing, but having to rate the theater itself it cant be 5 stars for me. I know the place is old and there is only so much that can be done, but MAN are those seats jam packed in there. I'm 5'9" and had an extremely hard time staying comfortable in my chair, and the leg room is almost nonexistent. There was no way I could bend my legs that wouldn't result in my kneeing the person in front of me. But again, old theater, not much to be done. Just a warning for any tall people out there! Get an aisle seat! Otherwise, the acoustics were fantastic, and even being up and toward the back it sounded like orchestra was right in front of us. Ushers were very nice and helped us to find out seats. One thing thats weird is that all the seats are labeled with odd numbers. Don't panic like we did! For example, seats 21 and 23 are next to each other. Just an odd and confusing setup I would personally change.

Absolutely beautiful venue! There’s so much majesty in this building alone. Ushers are very helpful to find seating. Concessions include alcoholic and non alcoholic options and very light snacks - do not expect to order a meal here. Everything is very clean and orderly. We loved our experience and hope to see another show here in the future. Parking is simple from Laveque Garage.
