We had the pleasure of bringing balloon décor to Baker Botts’ summer party hosted at the iconic Alamo Cinema, and what a fun and memorable event it was! We created custom balloon installations that added a festive, vibrant touch to the celebration while perfectly complementing the unique and lively atmosphere of the venue. From start to finish, the energy was amazing, and it was wonderful seeing everyone relax and enjoy the evening together. We’re so grateful to have been part of such a creative and well-executed event—thank you to Baker Botts for trusting us to help bring the summer celebration to life!

Went there recently to see this amazing movie 'No Other Choice'. Theatre was packed, given holiday times. It was hard to get parking in the 3 retail garages nearby, so had to park on the street and run to get in before the movie time. Definitely factor in some extra time considering that possiblity. This Alamo Drafthouse has so much movie culture you can see everywhere, the theme of The Shining movie and several other elements showing this place is all about movie as the art form and not just a commercial establishment srlling tickets. Great experience overall.

It's been a long time since I've been to the Alamo Draft House, this one or otherwise, and with Sony taking over within the last year or so I didn't want to believe a lot of the rumors of having to use your phone to order things since that was part of the unique experience of putting away your phone and writing your orders down. Also the fact that it costs so much more to get food from here, and I get it, this is a business at the end of the day and it's seeking to make money but when you charge nine dollars for a milkshake and seven dollars for a lemonade, amongst other things, and with the policy changes on top of that, you gotta ask yourself if sony even understand their audience? Unfortunately, going to the Alamo Draft House to go see Ready or Not 2 will be my last time at this locations and all others. It's too expensive, the service model isn't the same and overall doesn't hold that same excitement as it once did, especially since I grew up here in South Austin. I will say though the server that we had was very nice and kind and the food was good. Just not enough to justify everything else. RIP ADH.

Movies only, don't order food here, it's no longer the Alamo experience we all loved. Nobody likes the new system, not movie-goers, not staff, not management. I'm sure the bean counters and top brass love it though. Oh and watch it if you do get food they will take 5% without your permission in addition to the 18% service fee unless you remove the charge within 20 minutes of the end of each show, thats just plain stealing...

I come here at least once a week, often times more. I’ve been an alamo season pass holder for 2 years and have led countless friends here as well. I know this theater extremely well as a very loyal customer and feel justified in deleting my previous 5 star review in place of this one for the following reasons: 1. The staff were the best part about this place and were clearly so passionate about Alamo, but Alamo chose to lay off staff in place of a mobile ordering system that encourages patrons to use their phones during movies, completely betraying everything they’ve been about since day 1. Current guidance at Alamo is to use your phone during the movie to place an order but “turn your brightness down.” The problem is that the theater is obviously dark and a phone camera doesn’t recognize the QR code, so people need to turn on their flashlights to even see the QR code. This happened at least 4 times during a movie I saw last week. 2. Despite the clear reduction in staff and service level, we are still charged an 18% service fee on top of our bill. AND if you don’t go in and close out your bill on your phone after the movie, you’re charged an ADDITIONAL 5%! I always left a few extra dollars for the staff, but you can’t keep doing this while reducing service level. 3. My movie seat was dirty when I arrived at the theater, my water took 40 minutes to arrive (I had to ask them during the movie if it was even coming), and my chicken nuggets didn’t arrive for another 45 minutes. This has NEVER happened in my years of going to this theater. I am really sad to leave this review because I care so deeply about alamo. I’ve spent so much time and money there and feel absolutely betrayed as a loyal customer. It truly hurts to do this but we have to speak with our wallets, and I encourage anyone still reading this review to not patronize this chain any more.
