A Historic Gem with Incredible Character and Atmosphere Visiting the Paramount Theatre is always a special experience, especially considering it has over 110 years of history. The building is impeccably maintained, and the moment you step inside, you are transported back in time. The ornate ceiling is absolutely stunning and something you have to see in person to truly appreciate. I recently attended a Gipsy Kings concert here, and the energy in the room was electric. Despite its age, the theatre handles live music beautifully, and there isn't a bad seat in the house when it comes to the overall vibe. I was also very impressed by the staff; every usher and service member I encountered was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the evening even more enjoyable. If you have the chance to see a show here, don't hesitate. It’s a quintessential Austin experience that combines history, art, and great community spirit!

I attended a screening of the film "Normal" here as part of the South By Southwest film festival. My seat was up on the balcony but still very comfortable. Nothing but welcoming and helpful behavior from both the theater employees and festival volunteers. The 35mm film reels projected onto the large screen beautifully. It felt old-timey and nostalgic. I had such a great experience at this historic venue.

We were in town for a comedy show and really enjoyed the overall experience. The theater itself is nice, and you get a great view of the stage no matter where you’re seated, which is a big plus. That said, the seats are quite small and close together. I found myself bumping elbows with the people next to me, which felt a bit uncomfortable at times. I’m looking forward to the future upgrades, because with a little more space, this would be an even better venue!

Very fun theater with loads of history and great shows! We came for Los Lobos and everything was great, the seats, the show, the service, the crowd, all of it made for such a fun night! I think renovations are coming that would be very nice but it was still great to see and experience it in its original? form

I attended the Ron White fundraiser show for the Texas flood victims. This was my first time to attend a show at the Paramount. I easily parked at a nearby parking garage for a small fee and walked to the venue. I loved the interior of the theater and its old-school feeling and would have liked to have taken a few pictures to share here, but phones were sealed upon entry for this particular show. There were quite a few people there to assist people in getting to their seats. They were so friendly and helpful! The seats were clean and comfortable and we could easily see, hear, and understand the comedians. They sell candy and various types of drinks. I have to say they mix up a pretty mean Old Fashioned! It's my understanding that the Paramount donated the venue as part of the fundraiser. If true, what a nice gesture. Regardless, it was a great evening in a great venue. I would definitely enjoy coming back for more shows.
