I have been a Movie Club member for a long time and wanted to share my recent experience at the SouthPark location. I recently attended Mortal Kombat 2 and spent well over $120 bringing friends and family. Unfortunately, both visits were disappointing. The first issue was that the auditorium felt extremely hot, almost as if the air conditioning was not running properly during my showing of Mortal Kombat 2. When I returned for a second movie, Backrooms, the temperature issue seemed unchanged and the theater was again uncomfortably warm. The bigger problem was the concession experience during my visit for Backrooms. The lines were completely out of control. I arrived approximately 30 minutes before the movie started specifically to allow enough time for concessions, but I ended up waiting around 45 minutes just to get snacks and drinks. Because of this, I missed part of the movie I paid to see. What was especially frustrating was having to wait in two separate lines one for concessions and another for alcohol. However, many people in the alcohol line were purchasing only snacks and non-alcoholic items. If alcohol purchases require a separate line, it doesn't make sense that customers can bypass the main concession line by ordering snacks there as well. This creates longer waits for everyone and defeats the purpose of having separate lines. As a loyal Movie Club member who regularly spends money at your theater, I expect a more organized concession process and a comfortable viewing environment. Between the ongoing air conditioning concerns and the excessive concession wait times that caused me to miss part of Backrooms, this was a very frustrating experience. I would appreciate hearing what steps are being taken to address these issues. Thank you for your time.

It was a great experience. I came here to see the Stranger Things episode. I was super late, but they still let me in the movie theater because I know some movie theaters won’t let you in after a certain time. I haven’t been to the movie theaters in a while so they had a lot of their snacks already out and only had to do is grab it and go check out at the register. There was a lot of parking wasn’t super crowded. I also went at like 9 o’clock in the morning. Everybody was super nice when I asked them questions. The movie theater itself had really nice recliner seats and it wasn’t very difficult to find my seat. The food was good. It didn’t feel like it was super overpriced.

I would recommend avoiding this theater as they will cancel your tickets without any explanation. I purchased tickets for the Stranger Things finale and received a message later that my tickets were canceled due to a “showtime cancelation” but the screening was still available in the exact same auditorium and they were selling the same seats to other movies throughout the day so it’s not like there was an issue with the seats themselves. What likely happened is that a manager canceled the tickets so a friend can get the seats. Incredibly shady practices and when I called them, they couldn’t explain why it occurred. We’re in Austin anyway, stick with Alamo or AMC or even Regal. No reason to go to Cinemark

Great movie theatre experience! Would be amazing if they could add car chargers so that customers could gain some range while they watch a movie! It might even attract some walk-ins who decide to catch a movie while their cars charge! Just a suggestion!

I had a really frustrating experience at Cinemark during my recent visit. There was a woman sitting next to me and my children,who was coughing nonstop every few minutes and not once did she cover her mouth. It made the entire movie uncomfortable and honestly pretty gross. I understand people can’t always control when they’re sick, but if you’re going to come out to a public place especially somewhere like a movie theater where people are sitting close together for hours you should at least have the basic courtesy to cover your mouth or stay home if you’re that sick. It completely took away from the experience I paid for. I hope Cinemark can do a better job reminding guests about basic etiquette so everyone can enjoy the movie.
