Deva Eloquentdeva 2 months agoI’m gonna give it a three star now the inside was very nice and clean. The issue was with the lack of service. We placed an order for popcorn and a soft drink about 1253. We did not get the popcorn until 140 Ish and the drink came at 2:28 at that time, even though we were thirsty, we asked just to cancel it. Not sure what happened. I had hit the call light and asked for the drink when the popcorn came and the gentleman said concession would be bringing it. Not sure if they were shortstaffed or not that day, but not a great first time experience.
Shafarion Romashyn 4 months agoWe celebrated an early Valentine’s Day here. When everyone else was watching the Super Bowl. It was a perfect night just the at I like quiet and almost no one there. I had a mimosa, my husband had a martini. I got the chili glaze wings and truffle fries. He had a burger everything was good.
Dontae Da Don 4 months agoReviewer: Chef Dontae DaDon I’m going to be straight with you: this is not a 4-star establishment. At its absolute best, it’s a 3. After my recent visit to see Scream 7, I can’t give it more than 2 stars. While I enjoyed the movie itself, the entire operation needs a massive upgrade—from the mechanical systems to the staff training. A "Horror Movie" Entrance The experience started going south before we even reached our seats. The elevator had zero labeling to tell us which floor the theater was actually on. To make matters worse, the lift shook so violently I thought I was in a horror movie filmed in a 1970s New York tenement. Not exactly the "luxury" entrance you expect in Victory Park. Service & Financial Discrepancies We were served by Dana, and while she started off polite, the service was a comedy of errors: * The Drink Delay: It took 19 minutes to get a water and a Sprite. When the Sprite finally arrived, it was clearly at the "end of the box"—nothing but carbonated water. I eventually had to order a Tennessee Lemonade just to get a proper drink. * The Disappearing Act: After the wrong drinks arrived, the server vanished. I had to press the call button 4 times before anyone acknowledged us again. * The "Double Charge": This was the dealbreaker. I paid cash for the food and drinks, but my Mastercard was still charged $61.70. Between the cash and the card, they essentially took $80 from me. That is a massive breach of trust. A Chef’s Take on the Food As a chef, I have high standards for sanitation and execution, and Cinepolis failed both: * The Nachos: I ordered the Nacho Supreme (no bacon/pork). I ended up sending them back twice because there was virtually no cheese and zero meat. It was a plate of dry chips for a premium price. * Sanitation & Utilities: They brought us dirty utensils. When I sent them back and asked for plastic silverware as a backup, I was told they didn’t have any. * Poor Timing: In the culinary world, you don't serve a table 22 minutes apart. My spouse’s food arrived at 10:03 PM, but my Avocado Chicken BLT didn't show up until 10:25 PM. The Atmosphere It’s hard to stay immersed in a movie when a full-blown fight breaks out in the theater right next to yours. The walls are thin, and the "luxury" vibe disappears real quick when you're hearing a brawl through the drywall. Final Word: This place needs a serious touch-up. Between the shaky elevators, the "syrup-less" sodas, and the double-charging, I won't be rushing back. #Cinepolis #CinepolisLuxuryCinemas #VictoryParkDallas #DallasTX #DallasEats #CinepolisVictoryPark #chefdontaedadon
Ashley Barrett a month agoTo start with the pros and what earned the 2 stars, the theatre is nice, the seats were comfortable, and from what I saw on a visit Wednesday evening, decently maintained. The pros stop there. To begin the cons of the evening, the lights were on through the previews, which isn’t necessarily bad, but we worried they’d be on during the movie, which thankfully they weren’t. After pressing the service buttons, it took the server what felt like forever to come take our order. To their credit, they said their notification system didn’t alert them, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, even though we were 2 of a total of 3 people in the whole theatre. Again, could have been a glitch, so we decided to overlook it. We ordered, and to echo the others reviews, the food took forever. The popcorn came about 15 minutes or so after the drinks, and it was room temp and stale like it had been sitting out for a while. The server did bring refills, which was appreciated, but also brought the check before the entrees came out, which seemed odd. A little over halfway through the movie, our entrees finally arrived. Neither were cold, but neither felt fresh either and tasted like microwaved dinner and in no way worth the price. It’s such a shame about this spot, because it’s really beautiful and in a great location. However, between the slow service and mediocre room-temp food, without a serious management and process upgrade, I worry this theatre won’t be open much longer.
Rachel Porter a month agoMy boyfriend and I had a great experience at Cinépolis today! The theater was clean and comfortable with nice reclining chairs. We also had an issue with our bill, and the manager was incredibly helpful and resolved everything quickly and professionally. She went above and beyond to make sure we left happy, and her kindness really stood out. Excellent customer service like that is hard to find these days. We’ll definitely be back!
