HELEN WILT a month agoNice time at the movies today. Very comfortable seating & yummy food. I had the brisket nachos & my spouse enjoyed the brisket tacos. I was impressed with the amount of toppings on my nachos. Great banana split for dessert as well. Parking here is a headache though. We have handicapped plates and there are few spaces for handicapped patrons. We paid for VIP Parking which was pricey for a 2 hour movie.
Narda Gutierrez 4 months agoMy friends and I had a very disappointing experience at this location. We purchased seats in Row C, but when we arrived there was a stage set up in the walkway because of a corporate meeting, and we were told those seats were not supposed to be sold due to a technical error. Instead of offering comparable seats, the head manager moved us to Row H in the very back corner of the theater, which were clearly worse than what we paid for. When we asked about other options, we were told to go to the front desk ourselves to figure it out. The manager there was hostile and dismissive from the beginning. We eventually chose seats in Row F, but those seats appeared to have no power (the indicator lights were off) and one of them was wet and unusable. Because the seats had no power, the service button didn’t work, so we couldn’t get assistance. Since the movie had already started and we were trying not to disturb others, we briefly returned to our original seats while waiting for help. At that point the head manager came in yelling at us, accused us of being disruptive, and called security, even though we were speaking quietly and simply trying to resolve the issue caused by the theater selling seats that should have been blocked off. Another manager eventually stepped in and gave us vouchers, we really appreciated that she was being calm, respectful and trying to make things better, but the situation was handled extremely unprofessionally. The head manager kept speaking over us, antagonizing us, and even threatening to not reimburse us the money that we had to spent. Even though we were given vouchers, we left feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. This situation started because of the theater’s own mistake, yet we were treated like second class guests and as if we were the problem.
LAURA GARZA a month agoThis was my first time at Star Cinema. We usually watch movies at home. My son treated us for my birthday. We went to see Michael (the king of pop) which was both entertaining and sad. Food was very good, seats were comfortable and the temperature was perfect. I just wish we could have gotten there earlier so we could eat before the movie started. It's too dark to see well and I didn't want to miss a thing. I did enjoy this experience!
Jasmine Hicks 4 months agoI hosted a Sensory-Friendly Movie Screening at Star Cinema Grill CityCentre and had an incredible experience. Vanessa, Sergio, and their team was accommodating, kind, and truly supportive of creating an inclusive environment for our families. The space was comfortable, welcoming, and perfect for allowing attendees to simply be themselves. We’re so grateful for their partnership and commitment to making community events accessible for all. Highly recommend!
Lilly Boyanton a year agoMy husband and I recently moved to Houston and found this movie theater randomly. Our date nights mostly consist of having the perfect setting watching movies and Star Cinema Grill has just that. From the moment you open the doors to go in you see a beautiful entrance with friendly staff waiting to welcome you, a good size area with tables to eat adorned by gorgeous chandeliers and a stunning bar. The interior design is very elegant all throughout the cinema. The bathrooms are gorgeous and super clean. The menu has many options to choose from. I have to say they have best chicken fingers that I’ve ever had. The seats lay back and are super comfortable. They keep the AC on full blast so make sure to take a small blanket or little sweater in case you get cold. I personally love it because it makes you feel cozy. But in case you forget, they do have blankets I believe for a very low fee. I can’t emphasize enough how nice the staff is; they truly go above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience. I hope you go visit and enjoy your experience as much as we do.
