On a Saturday around 11 a.m., my friend and I decided we wanted to catch a movie. Simple plan, right? Wrong. We get there and there are no signs posted anywhere showing movie times. We checked online too—still confusing. So I call the theater. No answer. We’re literally standing outside, peeking through the window like lost tourists, when a worker walks out holding the exact phone I had just called and goes, “Can I help you?” At that point I knew this was about to be an experience. We asked about movie times and she casually says, “Oh yeah, we don’t usually open until later… like around 3 p.m.” And I’m just thinking… how were we supposed to know that? No sign. No notice. This is the cheapest theater I have ever been to, especially in this economy. A little over $7 for a student ticket is honestly impressive. Love that. But let’s be real—you get what you pay for. The theater itself is old and rundown. I genuinely felt like I time-traveled back to the 1980s. The restrooms? Old. The bar and food area? Old. Everything just felt…tired. The seats in the theater are all on the same level, so no matter where you sit, you’re looking up at the screen. Eye-level seating? Absolutely not. Also, the people inside? Shoes off. Fully relaxed. No sense of urgency. Nothing about it felt like 2026. It felt like a place where time stopped and everyone collectively agreed it was fine. Overall, if you’re broke, nostalgic, and don’t mind a little chaos, this might be the place for you. Just don’t expect modern, organized, or updated.

This AMC felt like the liminal space version of a movie theater. Not bad… just slightly unsettling. We were already by Mill Ave, so we figured why not check it out. It’s 12 PM on a Saturday and the doors are LOCKED. No hours posted. No signs of life. Just me staring through the glass like I’m in a zombie apocalypse movie. I check online—nothing helpful. Absolute mystery vibes. So I call them. MID-CALL, an employee emerges from the shadows and says, “We’re closed. We open when the first movie starts.” Okay… my bad for not being a cinema scholar 😭 Also how did she KNOW it was us calling?? That part lowkey scared me. Inside: cheap, simple, and definitely run down—but like… expected since it’s next to Mill. You have to take an Escalator up to the theater, which already feels wrong. Then you walk in from the very back, and the seating is weirdly flat—no dramatic stadium rows, just slight elevation . AND THEN. A man. Feet OUT. RAW DOGGING the air. No socks. No shame. Just vibes and toenails. (Pic attached for evidence because I couldn’t suffer alone.) We watched Marty Supreme and it was freaky as hell, so honestly the unsettling theater atmosphere kinda matched the movie. The seats reclined though, and they were actually nice. Plus we got a student discount, so I can’t fully hate. Overall: affordable, functional, slightly cursed. Would I come back? Maybe. But only if I’m already nearby and spiritually prepared.

Ticketing and concessions went smoothly. Had a missing item but Elizabeth went above and beyond to help me out and we eventually got it situated, and it was much appreciated. I will be attending this theater again!

I used the website to purchase tickets and food. Very prompt and neat with pick up orders. It was a bit difficult to find via the parking lot, but once I found the exit to the parking garage there was a map. Lots of kind people to help point it out as well. They do validate parking, just keep the ticket handy for them to scan. The seats were very comfortable and the size of the theatre was cozy. D Row was peak placement.

Watched Project Hall Mary for the 5th time:) Glad it wasn’t my first watch at this location. My recliner did not work, neither did the one empty next to mine. I had to sit at the end of the aisle. The line to get my online app ticket scanned was very long and time consuming — the concessions line was also very long despite being an A lister. The hallways and condiment spaces were filthy (maybe because it’s a Friday). The screen was very small compared to other AMC theaters. The seats were truly not that comfortable. The soda machine in the first floor was not working. On the second floor, only one machine was operating and it had extremely low ice. The overall experience was not good at all. Would not recommend coming to see a high quality movie at this location.
