Went to AMC Deer Valley to watch Obsession yesterday evening. We arrived early to our showing after the theater was said to have an arcade. Said arcade was around 8 miniature claw machines and a photobooth. Although dissapointed, we waited for our showing. Almost every seat and tabletop in the theater was covered in popcorn, dirt, or other unnamed substances. Finally, after the smell of armpit and vodka we should've drank had permeated our noses, we decided to use the restroom before grabbing concessions. The restrooms were deplorable at best, urine and toilet paper strewn everywhere. Surprisingly, there was soap in the dispenser to wash our hands, but nothing else in that place has been washed in decades. After a thoroughly disturbing bathroom experience, we decided to go collect our concessions we'd ordered ahead of time. The popcorn? Basically charcoal, my teeth may be whiter for it. The sodas? Mostly soda water, and the machines had a lovely puddle of an unknown liquid in front of them. The candy we paid for? Not there. Every trashcan in the building? Full. Employees? Doing who knows what. With our evening sitting on this movie, we decide to just head into our theater and were met with the most mediocre theater I could describe. Cleaner than the lobby at least, but the damage had been done. The movie begins, and im no sound engineer, but I can balance a speaker. Apparently the Deer Valley AMC was not capable of the same thing. All in all, a terrible experience, wasted money, I can only hope if I am ever forced the set foot in that building again that I wont have to visit the audiologist again after how loud that movie was.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience at AMC today. We attended the Toy Story movie with our 2-year-old son, and when we entered the theater, it was obvious that it had not been cleaned after the previous showing. We were literally walking through piles of trash on our way to our seats. As I sat my son down, I discovered a used lollipop stuck to his chair that I had to remove myself. To make matters worse, I accidentally kicked over several beer cans that had been left behind, spilling all over my feet. This was not only unpleasant but also completely unacceptable, especially for a family-friendly movie where young children are present. A clean theater should be the bare minimum expectation. What was even more frustrating was the response when I brought the issue to an employee’s attention. He told me he couldn’t get a manager and would simply “let someone know.” No manager came to speak with us, and no immediate effort was made to address the situation. We spend good money to enjoy a movie experience, and today’s visit fell far below the standards I would expect from AMC. I hope management takes cleanliness and customer concerns more seriously moving forward.

I went last night to see Devil Wears Prada 2- it was very crowded, but the crew handled it well, everyone was super friendly, especially Morgan- extra great service, she went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we needed after a small issue with not being able to ring up something at the concession. I haven’t had service that great at a movie theater since I worked at one over 20 years ago. Definitely will be coming back to this location even though it’s a few extra minutes drive, it’s worth it for nicer people & overall better experience. They all seem to like being there- which I think says something about management as well.

Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen! went there for my daughter‘s birthday paid for her husband and myself and my wife. It was $75 to see the Dolby movie which was so loud that you couldn’t hear yourself think and then the seats did not work properly. My wife couldn’t even lift up her legs on her leg rest when I needed to go to the bathroom because the popcorn and the Coke made my stomach so sick I couldn’t use the restroom because the restroom by Theater too was flooded and they wouldn’t open it so I had to walk all the way several blocks. It seemed to the very back of the restaurant where there was very little soap issues with towels, stalls didn’t work they didn’t close they didn’t lock the ones that were there were peed on with nothing to clean them and they did not flush. It was gross. It was ridiculous and with the snack bar and the price of tickets we spent almost $150 and that is completely ridiculous. I didn’t even bother to talk to the management about it because to be honest with you I will never return. I can’t understand how they charge so much money and provide so Little and I do understand why in our theater on a Saturday afternoon there were only probably 20 people in a two or 300 seat Dolby Stadium that was just ridiculous so sad never be back

Haven't been to this location in years. It seems to be in a sad state. There was popcorn everywhere in the main lobby. The butter station to the right was out of order and filthy. The one to the left was a mess from everyone using that one and again, popcorn everywhere. The self serve soda machines were messy, sticky, unclean. The bathroom had no hand soap at one station. Floors disgusting. Self check in machines, one was down, lines at the other 3 backing up as people had trouble getting them to cooperate. Our machine ran out of paper after the first ticket printed and had to flag down an employee after they were sort of distracted in what seemed like an attempt to ignore the environmental disaster going on around them. The theater seats had stains and just not inviting at all. The IMAX theater sound was at such a high volume, everyone in the group was uncomfortable with the sound levels. Just ear piercing. And the concession prices?! Dear lord. Overall, just an unpleasant experience. Other AMCs have such a cleaner more inviting experience. I dont see ever wanting to return to this location sadly.
