The Cut Outdoor Cinema

Had a fantastic time here! The outdoor cinema is in a gated area of the former transbay terminal. They've set up a 16'x9' LED screen above a half-sized container with bean bag and lounge chair seating for about 100. I loved the individual headphones, so the sound is excellent and you can't hear the nearby traffic. And you can't beat the view. I ended up here on a clear, not super windy night. They do offer blankets, but its San Francisco, come prepared! The lounge chairs were surprisingly comfy even for a two hour movie. They have a limited bar and popcorn/snack bar. There is a full bar in a container outside the theater. My only minor complaint is that the screen is a little small if you are in the back, but still totally watchable. Will definitely be back!

Great concept, well thought out: the big screen with awesome resolution, the chairs, the blankets, the noise-cancelling headphones. All good. Unfortunately during our show, there was a DJ playing at the outdoor open area and the music was too distracting for us to enjoy the movie. We left half way through as we couldn’t concentrate on the movie.

The headphones provide great audio quality. I'm a little short for the chair and my feet didn't quite touch the floor. Because it is reclined I could not scoot forward to plant my feet to get out of the seat. I asked my friend to help me up and it was still a challenge. The chair collapsed when I got up. Awkward! But otherwise I loved the blanket, the popcorn, and the movie experience.

Loved it, just make sure to wear lots of layers n grab a couple of the free blanket's. I really liked the headphones as they cut down on the street noise and my verbal reactions. I'd definitely go again.

Great experience. A little chilly, but it's SF so that was to be expected. Blankets were provided and drinks/food were available for purchase. Super fun idea, would highly recommend! Can't wait till next year!
