They were the only movie theater I was able to find in the area which was still showing Ready or Not 2 during workdays in the morning. And that was the only option I had to watch it, so I booked tickets online in advance. Even though the convenience fee was pretty high, it was easy to do. I also liked that seating is limited and comfy, unlike the majority chain cinemas. When we arrived, the place was empty, but by the time we were leaving, people started coming in a steadier flow. Bathrooms were clean. There only were 5 of us during the movie, and I liked that they take measures to ensure that guests don’t distract each other from the movie. They have a nice menu and a variety of delicious popcorn. Service was quick and friendly, too. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy much is that they encourage you to come 30 minutes before the show, and once the show is supposed to start, you have to watch 15 minutes of ads first. For the rest, I would pay another visit if I’m in Littleton again.

They completely ruined the menu. No bone-in wings, burgers are gone. Even ordering is ruined, as you need to scan a QR code and order on your phone...if your phone can read the QR code in the dark. Mine could not. Also, great idea encouraging people to bring their phones out duuring your movie. At the Alamo, where they have strict rules against having your phone out. There is now a page of instructions where the menu was. Again. Can't read that in the dark. What a waste. We go here for dinner and a movie. I guess enjoy your cauliflower wings and hummus? Monster. Anyway, my mozzarella sticks tasted like churros because they were probably fried right next to them, and the rest of our food was cold. Cold loaded fries are not edible, you know? I asked about the changes with our server, and he was polite and understood why I was being all prissy about it. Staff is great and always has been. I don't like complaining like this but the change was so drastic it really bothered me.

I absolutely love this movie theater! If you enjoy watching movies without people talking around you during the whole thing, come here! They have a strict policy where people who are continuously talking and being distracting through any movie, including being on their phones, will be asked to leave. And yes, they do enforce this policy, which is awesome! The food is really good, but a bit pricey, so be prepared. They have an on-site bar where you can get drinks before heading into your movie. Service is very quick in the bar, and sometimes getting your first drinks here if you have time can be quicker than waiting for them in the theater, especially if it's busy. You are able to take your drinks with you. The staff is always very friendly! I highly recommend coming here to see movies. You can order drinks and food while watching the show. Seats are comfortable, and it's overall a great place to go to.

EDIT: In most of the owner responses, they ask us to email to let them know how to do better... Almost every review clearly states what needs to be done.... Stop forcing phone ordering. Stop ruining what was once a fun and unique experience. Original post below: I have visited alamo drafthouses exclusively for my cinema experiences for over 25 years (I lived in Austin until 2 years ago). I have a comfortable recliner and great video/audio equipment at home, so the overall experience is what encourages me to go to the cinema... The recent change to phone ordering ruins that experience. The constant glowing screens and flashlights is a major distraction that I can get at any theater. The personal touch of attentive waitstaff being replaced by a QR code further dampens the experience. As if the above wasn't bad enough, you even slashed interesting options from the menu. It is sad to see another iconic business ruined in an effort to squeeze every penny possible from it. My wife and I will not return to alamo until this QR code nonsense is reversed.

I was very vocal praising Alamo Drafthouse for being different and creating a great experience for our family when we went to the theater. That differentiated, fantastic experience is largely gone. When we went as a family we could buy one large popcorn and have them bring out multiple containers (full of popcorn) for us and our kids so we weren't passing one around. That experience is gone. They brought us another bowl upon request, but we had to split the "bottomless popcorn" instead of them bringing us out two full containers. Some of the new food is good, but it seems like cost cutting measures. The changes that were made since Alamo was acquired have stripped Alamo of what made it unique and my default choice for where to see a movie. Now it's like the other theaters (a worse experience) and I'll need to rethink my Alamo loyalty. Which is really disappointing as I loved Alamo.
