The positives: Unique dining/theater experience, redefining "dinner and a movie." Love that there's a no-fuss, non-invasive or disruptive ordering system. I was just there in early February, 2026, and there's no phones during the movie, not even for ordering like so many reviews are complaining about, but maybe that's recently reinforced/reinstated...? It's still a paper/pencil during the flick system. No hassle with our order, or the time we received it. Had the mushroom veggie burger and fries, and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! One of the BEST mushroom burgers I've EVER had, and their fries were crispy and delicious! Our waiter was attentive and dutiful, and didn't miss a beat! Overall, the theater and dining experience was stellar! I love that there's no long line nonsense to deal with, and any concessions you want are brought straight to you! LOVE that! Negatives: I'm a larger sized woman with a knee injury, and getting in and out of my seat was.... Less than simple, since the tables are not moveable. They're small enough, and it's not impossible to get in and out, just a bit challenging if you're a heafty specimen... Lol. We had a tough time validating our parking..... It seemed simple enough, but it took us a good 20 minutes of fumbling about online with it to finally get it done. The parking availability is a bit ridiculous, but there's a garage that had plenty of spaces in the back of the theater. Stairs only, no elevator down to the first floor, and for someone with knee issues like myself, or just mobility issues in general, heads up; you might want to be dropped at the door if you're with somebody who can park and then meet up with you. The food was a bit pricey and we ended up sharing the burger that we ordered because of it, but it was absolutely delicious and I get that you're paying for the convenience of having it brought to you and skipping the lines. Still, definitely a good dent in the bank account if funds are tight...! So in closing; Three positive stars for the dining and movie experience. Missing the last two stars because of the pricing and the parking situation. I'm sure we'll go again, just not too regularly. This is a once in awhile kind of thing for us.

THE way to see a movie. What Alamo (slightly) lacks in movie quality (4K vs IMAX, Dolby Cinema, etc), is (way) more than made up for by its strict no talking/texting policy, curated pre-shows rather than advertisements, and in-seat dining service (Want a beer? Click a button on the app. Need a popcorn refill? Click a button. Obnoxious movie-goer? Click a button.). Best. Movie. Experience. Ever.

Went to hear music at the Bar! What fun, a hidden place to hear live music. 4 stars due to the food was not that great. Took an hour to get a overdone burger and cold fries. Bar was on point and great drinks.

I love this theater. I go a few times a month and the service and vibe has always been wonderful. However, a big part of what made it a lovely interaction was the enthusiastic staff. I hate the new phone ordering system. Several of my friends have stopped ordering altogether other than from the bar beforehand, but that isn’t even open before the movie starts sometimes. It does seem like they have cleaned up the online ordering system a bit, but it has significantly decreased the charm of the theater. Instead of having good interactions with humans, we have a clunky and distracting yet thinned out menu. It definitely has me rethinking why I stopped going to theaters like AMC, and I feel less inclined to give them my money if they can’t treat their staff well.

i am heartbroken at what alamo has become. what a fall from grace. worst theater experience i’ve ever had in 34 years. i was a die hard alamo fan and this was my last visit. the qr code was impossible to use unless my partner used his flashlight to illuminate it so i could scan it. ordering food was confusing and i had no choice but to dig my card out to enter details. i missed part of the movie ordering my food and navigating the app. there is no “dark mode” people’s phones were on full brightness. our food came out and i was missing an item but had no receipt to reference that id even ordered it. would never happen with paper ordering. when my food came, the condiments were in a tear pouch that distracted me from the movie for another 10 mins. $8 for fries and you cant decant the condiments? the theater was literally falling apart. the table to the right of ours had their menu reading light ranging from their table, i “requested a manager” via the app, something i always assumed was treated with tact — a woman came up to me and said “do you have a problem with your light” as if i hadn’t clarified it was another guest, and as if the light wasn’t illuminating the entire row. it was humiliating to publicly point blame towards the table next to me as if it was their fault. everyone in the theater was eating insane amounts of food, talking, smacking and clanging their bowls together — zero emphasis on a quiet zone. it felt like i was at a poorly managed restaurant with a power outage and a movie playing. as we left i saw more evidence of the theater falling apart, attached below. alamo is dead to me. AMC will replace this hot mess.
