Stray Cat is hands down my favorite place in KC. Every visit I’ve made to it has been fun, enriching, and welcoming. The folks who volunteer here know their stuff and their passion for film comes through in everything they put together, down to even the bumpers before the movie. If you’re looking for a cool place that will challenge your tastes and introduce you to cool new art and people, Stray Cat is the real deal.

Quaint and cozy little theater showing a variety of unique films. I would call this theater a queer hub in KC. They show a lot of unique lgbt films. The popcorn isn't fantastic but they make up for it with the complimentary beer and soda. I always enjoy an evening at the stray cat and am excited to show it to my friends.

A delightfully ragtag operation with a super pleasant vibe, doing their best to keep cinema alive for Kansas Citians. Super affordable ticketing at an absolutely prime and convenient location, right across the street from a 24 hr parking garage. Stray Cat will show you something you've never seen before. I love this place!

I visited Stray Cat Film Center for a friend's proposal and it's fantastic! Comfortable and intimate seating, cool shirts, concessions which were fresh and well priced! The staff member on site that day was great as well, super friendly and patient with me!

If you wanna watch an interesting film, not another franchise movie, Stray Cat is the place to check out. They are run by independent artists and have a wide range of films. They just showed ‘Close-up’ by Kiarostami and it was one of the best film I’ve watched this year!
